Rebekka Peterson

Treasurer

When Rebekka was asked in 2019 if she would be interested in being the Treasurer for Tooele Academy of Dance, she was surprised, but honored to be trusted with such an important responsibility.  As a parent of a dancer and working as a volunteer for 4 years, she had been impressed by the professionalism of the studio, as well as the feeling of community.  After accepting the position, she has continued to be inspired, learning how a Non-Profit Organization runs, with attention to detail, careful planning for expenditures, and special care for the funds that are entrusted to the Academy. It is truly a community effort.

Rebekka graduated with a degree in history from the University of Utah and loves to read every plaque in museums and at historical sites.  She loves to travel with her husband and kids and is fascinated by other people and cultures. She works with the DLI Portuguese Program at Sterling Elementary and is a fan of all things Brazilian, including soccer.  She loves cheering for her 3 sons who play competitive soccer and clapping enthusiastically for her daughter in ballet performances.  She loves the Arts and is grateful for the opportunity to be involved with such a great organization.
